Early Surgical Abortions Up To 10 Weeks

During the first 10 weeks of pregnancy, you can have an early surgical abortion. Dr. Bours is nationally recognized for his expertise and technique in performing a manual vacuum aspiration, an extremely safe and effective procedure.

For this procedure, a hand-held plastic syringe is used to evacuate the pregnancy tissue from the uterus. The procedure is quiet, quick and minimally invasive. Our patients using this technique make rapid recoveries. Unpleasant pregnancy symptoms, in particular nausea, are gone by the next day.

A medical abortion allows you to abort in privacy but involves significantly more bleeding than a surgical abortion, carries a slight risk of hemorrhage, is only 95% effective, requires two office visits and costs more than a surgical abortion.
